Samsung

Galaxy Z Flip 4 & Z Fold 4 Gets Stability Updates

Pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 have only recently begun to arrive, but Samsung is prepared with a day-one software upgrade. Both of the new foldable Galaxy Z series devices have begun receiving fresh software upgrades in some countries.

Galaxy Z Fold 2

The Galaxy Z Flip 4's most recent software update is firmware version F721BXXU1AVHH. The Z Flip 4 has been updated with firmware version F721NKSU1AVHI in South Korea. The carrier unlocked model in the US has received the upgrade, and its firmware version is F721USQU1AVHH. This new version might be pre-installed on some devices right out of the box.

The update raises the firmware version for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 to F936BXXU1AVHH in global markets, F936NKSU1AVHI in South Korea, and F936USQU1AVHH in the US (unlocked model). We anticipate Samsung will update both of these new foldable devices with the September 2022 security patch in the coming days. Currently, they are both running the July 2022 security patch.

The update, which is about 370MB in size, improves stability, and performance, and addresses bugs. You may check for the new software update on a Galaxy Z Flip 4 or Galaxy Z Fold 4 by going to Settings » Software update and selecting Download and install.

Galaxy S22 Receives One UI 4.1.1 Update

The One UI 4.1.1 update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra has started to roll out from Samsung. Only US-based devices locked to Verizon, Comcast, and Xfinity Mobile's networks are now seeding, but more regions should shortly follow.

The firmware version of the upgrade is S90xUSQU2AVHB. The S22 trio did not receive Android 13 as a result of the One UI 4.1.1 update, which is based on Android 12. With One UI 5, that will occur. Additionally, the new release does not have the September 2022 Android security patch. The One UI 4.1.1 does, however, bring about improvements to Smart View and Private Share.

Galaxy S20 Series August Security Update Out Now

The August 2022 Android security patch is now available for Samsung's Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones in the US. Units that are carrier-locked and unlocked can both get the latest update. It occurs around a month after the new SMR was added to the international versions (Security Maintenance Release). The security patch from last month has already been applied domestically to the Galaxy S20 FE.

The US Galaxy S20 trio's August SMR has recently started to roll out. The firmware upgrade, with version G98*U1UEU3FVH1, was first applied to the unlocked devices. Almost all carrier networks have already received the updated security patch for their devices. Now, the same update is also beginning to reach carrier-locked devices.

The same software update is now hitting carrier-locked models as well. Samsung Galaxy S20 users tied to Xfinity Mobile and Comcast network are receiving the new SMR G98*USQU3FVH1 for the past few days.

Galaxy 21 Unexpectedly Gets Android 13

Samsung launched the One UI 5.0 beta program for the Galaxy S21 in South Korea a few weeks after rolling out the One UI 5.0 beta upgrade to the Galaxy S22. The Galaxy S21 series is now also compatible with this brand-new significant software update in the UK.

S21 Series

The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra are receiving the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta upgrade in the UK. The update's firmware version is G99xBXXU5ZVHE, and it has a 1,957.47MB download size. The update is accessible for Galaxy S21 series smartphones that are unlocked.

Galaxy A32 Security Update is Out

The August 2022 security update has started to go out to devices like the Galaxy A32. The update was supposed to be published last month, but Samsung is a few days late. However, if you reside in Russia, you can now install the new security update on your Galaxy A32. There may be general bug fixes and enhancements to the stability of the device in the next software release.

The Galaxy A32's most recent software update is firmware version A325FXXU2BVH1. It includes the August 2022 security patch, which resolves a number of security flaws, including those relating to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi MAC address leaks, Samsung DeX, Samsung Knox, and incorrect access control.

Galaxy Watch4 Stable One UI Watch 4.5 Update

The One UI Watch 4.5 beta program for the Galaxy Watch4 series was launched by Samsung a few months ago, and it appears that testing went well because the company recently announced the beta program's closure on its community forums. As a result, the Korean conglomerate won't be releasing any more beta builds for the Watch4 series. Although Samsung made no announcements on the availability of the One UI Watch 4.5 stable update, some customers have already begun to receive it on their Galaxy Watch4.

A lower mid-range smartphone from Samsung that was first introduced more than three and a half years ago has received its most recent security upgrade. In numerous Asian nations, the August 2022 security update for the Galaxy M20 has begun to roll out.

The Galaxy M20's most recent software update is firmware version M205FDDS8CVG3. The update is accessible in Sri Lanka and India.
