FAQs

Registered users without a premium package are limited to 3 free downloads of different firmware files each day at the standard download speeds.   Premium users are allowed to download up to 5 different firmware files a day at highest download speeds availalble.

If Updato.com determines that a user has violated this Acceptable Use Policy, Updato.com reserves the right to terminate or suspend an account and/or access without notice or liability.

Updato.com’s firmware are delivered via a globally distributed CDN network and therefore we will stand behind the performance of our infrastructure. We do not throttle download speeds for our premium members.

However, there are many factors that impact download speeds and we cannot be responsible for factors that are outside of our control.

If your internet provider is separated from us with great geographical distance or your internet service from your provider is limited in download speeds, then the download speeds may be negatively impacted.
We urge you to test your download speed by downloading our test download file.

Important:  Updato does not offer refunds based on slow download speeds.

You can cancel payments in My Accounts page.

Updato offers 3 different types of ways to access fast downloads.  Two are paid membership types and one final method to give users ability to earn credits for fast downloads.

Premium Download Options

Pack of Downloads - User can purchase packs of downloads to use to download firmwares.  These downloads do not expire and you can use anytime. A download is counted as an active URL that is active for 72 hours.

Recurring Subscription - User is only limited to a daily download restriction of 5 firmwares.  Subscriptions are an excellent value.

Earned Credits -  For those who prefer not to pay for downloads, Updato is providing an offerwall for users to earn credits for downloads by various methods offered by the offerwall.  These include viewing videos, completing surveys and other offers.

To protect against abuse, Updato generates unique urls that expire after 72 hours.

Updato.com still offers free downloads for all firmware in our database.  Users must now be a register user to access the downloads. All free downloads are now limited to 3 downloads a day at standard speeds.  Due to rising storage, maintenance and bandwidth costs, Updato needs to manage usage to continue to offer this service.

Due to rising storage and bandwidth costs, Updato needs to manage usage to continue to offer this service.

Due to strong demand from our user base for higher bandwidth downloads, we wanted to offer this service.  However, the costs for guaranteeing high bandwidth downloads globally is cost prohibitive due to the file sizes and other factors.  As a result, we now offer affordable packages for premium services. We also built in a method for users to earn fast downloads with a offerwall which does not require traditional payment methods.

If you have a premium package (pack or subscription), you can exceed your daily limit with downloads with earned credits via the offerwall.

Due to the usage rules, unfortunately a user cannot concurrently be a recurring subsciber and own a pack of downloads.  If you cancel your subscription, you can purchase a pack of downloads.
