After numerous speculations and rumors, Samsung Electronics' mobile division chief JK Shin finally confirmed March 14 as the official date for the Galaxy S IV launch. The unveiling even will take place in the US in New York City, apparently because of the "bombarding requests from U.S. mobile carriers to have the event in the States". It's the first event like this one for Samsung that takes place in the US since 2010 when they launched the first Galaxy S. Last year the Galaxy S III was revealed in London.
Samsung plans to dominate the Smartphone market with this flagship device, especially after Apple took the first place in a ling time in Q4 of 2012 as the top smartphone seller. Samsung is basing its entire world dominance strategy on a very wide range of devices that can cover the entire market demand all over the world. The Galaxy S4 aims directly at Apple which is the direct competitor for top smartphones. While Apple's share price continues to drop, Samsung is looking really good with a 1.5 percent grow this year already.
The rumored specifications for the Galaxy S4 are: a 4,99″ Full-HD SoLux Display, Snapdragon 600 1.9 Ghz processor, 2 GB RAM, 13 megapixel camera, 140.1 x 71.8 x 7.7mm and 138 grams, plastic back with aluminium sides and a home button with touch buttons.
