As we head towards concluding the first month of 2022, Samsung has come out with the stable version of Android 12-based One UI 4 firmware for the unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Fold devices in the US market. From Verizon to Xfinity, from AT&T to Comcast, from C-Spire to Cellular and Bluegrass, the update is seeding to almost every unit in the States.

Talking about the firmware, in particular, the one for unlocked Galaxy Z Flip packs the firmware version F700U1UEU4FUL9, while the same for Galaxy Fold is F900U1UEU6GUL9. As usual, post-update, both the device will get a refreshed UI alongside all the Android 12 goodies. The new firmware also comes with the January 2022 Android security patch.

February Security Patch is Already Out for Samsung Galaxy Note 20

Time-traveling isn't something new for Samsung, and the company has proved it one more time. Although we're still hours apart from stepping our foot into February 2022, the Korean giant has already released the next month's Android security patch.

If you've been following Samsung's update routine, you might already know that at least one device every month gets lucky with an update that features pieces of stuff from the upcoming months, and this time around, it's about Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra. The new firmware shelters a build number that looks something like N98xxXXU3EVA9, where "xx" varies with either the location or the model of the devices. 

Currently exclusive for the devices in the Netherlands, the update is expected to spread its wings over Entire Europe in the next few weeks.

The Global Roll Schedule for MIUI 13, 2022 Q1 is Released

While MIUI 13 has been out in the Chinese marketer (limited devices) for quite some time now, recently, the company has released the global rollout schedule. The announcement of the roadmap for the first quarter of 2022 was made alongside the introduction of the Redmi Note 11 lineup. However, it is worth keeping in mind that the devices comprised don't include the India models, and the company has planned a different schedule for them.

Global Variant of Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Mi 11 Lite Finally Gets MIUI 13 Based on Android 12

Xiaomi is finally bringing the MIUI 13 firmware featuring Android 12 for the global variants of Redmi Note 10, Mi 11 Lite, and Redmi Note 10 Pro. The update will be exclusive for the ones who've enrolled in the beta program. As per the latest reports, the stable Beta is bug-free and features no trouble-causing element.

What's New?

The MIUI 13 based firmware comes with Android 12 with a series of new features. Besides carrying a brand new-looking Control Center, the update brings the January security patch to the scene. Apart from that, your device will get improvement in general fluidity.

Surface Duo Finally Gets Android 11

While 2019 released Microsoft Duo was scheduled to get Android 11 somewhere in the middle of 2021, the entire year went by with no official releases. It seemed like the first month of 2022 was going the same direction until 25th Jan, when Android 11 finally made it to the scene. Featuring the firmware version 2021.1027.156. the new update bumps up the Surface Duo's Android security patch to that of January 2022.

As per Microsoft, they're rolling out the Android 11 based firmware for the devices in North America and Europe. Also, users who own unlocked AT&T units will still have to wait.

RealMe

RealMe X50 Pro 5G gets the Beta Build for Android 12-based RealMe UI 3.0 

2020 released Realme X50 Pro 5G got updated to the Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 later in December. After about a year and a month, the device is ready again for the Realme UI 3.0 based on the Android 12 update in India.

If you're interested in trying out the Realme UI 3.0, here is how you can participate in the program:

  • Head over to the smartphone's Settings 
  • Look for the Software Update menu
  • Click on the Settings (gear) icon in the top-right corner
  • Find something called the Trial Version, followed by tapping the Early Access button
  • Finally, click Apply Now, and then submit all the required details. 

Things to Keep in Mind:

  • Your X50 Pro 5G should be running RMX2076PUNV1B_11.C.23. 
  • Your device should have more than 10GB of storage.
  • During the update, make sure your smartphone has at least 60% battery.

Lenovo

Android 12L Beta2 is Live for Lenovo Tab P12 Pro

Reports from 9to5Google suggest that the Beta 2 version of Android 12L is currently live for Lenovo Tab P12 Pro. Weighing somewhere around 1.7GB, the new firmware brings the December 2021 security patch to the table. Currently, the build is compatible with the Wi-Fi version and is only available outside the Chinese market that comes with the model code TB-Q706F.
