Choosing the best mobile MMORPG is a very controversial topic. Each person has their own personal preferences and criteria for choosing games on any genre really.

That's why instead of recommending a single game, we're going to mention a few different titles - each one with its own pros and cons. That way, everyone will be able to find something that's suitable for them. Without any further ado, let's get right into it!

1: Black Desert Mobile

Black Desert Online is without a doubt one of the most popular MMORPGs in the PC world. So, it's a given that we'll list it here as well!

At the moment, you can create fully customized characters by choosing amongst 5 different classes. In terms of graphics, Black Desert Mobile offers some of the best visuals we've ever seen on mobile. It may very well be the best mobile MMORPG in terms of graphics.

However, great visuals come with great hardware requirements. If you're using a low-end phone, then maybe you shouldn't bother wasting time in order to download this.

Pearl Abyss recommends using a phone with at least Android Marshmallow and 2 gigs of RAM. But that's barely just scratching the surface. After all, CPU and GPU performance can make a world of difference as well.

Best mobile mmorpg

In terms of gameplay, Black Desert Mobile has one of the most satisfying battle mechanics that we've ever seen on an MMORPG game for smartphones. It can certainly be a bit hard for newcomers. But things get better with a little practice.

Apart from fighting, you also get to do other activities such as fishing, taming wild animals, and more.

As far as disadvantages are concerned, it goes without saying that this is a stripped-down version of the desktop game. Not just for graphics - but also for in-game content.

One of the biggest bummers is that instead of getting to use the 18 classes that are present on the PC game, you only get to use 5 on the mobile variant. And, sure. That's the case with most desktop to mobile adaptations. But, that doesn't make it hurt any less.

Pros:

  • Great graphics
  • Nice battle mechanics
  • Extra side-activities

Cons:

  • Relatively high hardware demands
  • Big download size (For a mobile game)
  • Only offers 5 classes out of 18 (At least at the point of writing this article. More may be added in the future)

2: Order and Chaos

Order and Chaos is by far one of the most popular MMORPGs on Google Play - if not the most popular. And while Order and Chaos 2 is out as well, most of the players seem to prefer the original. So, who are we to go against them?

There is no doubt that it's graphically inferior to Black Desert. But, hey, it's not all about graphics. Gameplay is extremely important as well. And don't forget that thanks to its inferior graphics, it's also much easier to run on cheaper or older phones.

Speaking of gameplay, let's start with the character creation. Just like with Black Desert, you get to choose between 5 difference races while you are also free to customize things such as gender, talents, appearance, and more.

Best mobile mmorpg

PVP, boss fights, and taming mounts are standard features that you can find in most MMOs with Order & and Chaos not being an exception.

If there's downside then that's definitely going to be the fact that the game's playerbase isn't exactly at its peak. Some people can go as far as saying that the game is dead - but we wouldn't go that far.

Overall, Gameloft has long been known for making great mobile games. So, it's no surprise that Order & Chaos, in some aspects, is the best mobile MMORPG that you can get your hands on.

Pros:

  • Generally forgiving when it comes to hardware requirements (For 2019-2020 standards)
  • Relatively small download size (As far as MMORPGs are concerned)
  • Solid gameplay

Cons:

  • Outdated graphics
  • Playerbase keeps on declining

3: Goddess: Primal Chaos

At this point in time, Goddess: Primal Chaos, is one of the highest-rated games on Google Play! Hard not to recognize it as one of the best mobile MMORPGs when most of its players seem to love it.

It's one of the few free to play MMORPGs on Google Play that are actually free and not pay to win. And we're not implying that other games are absolutely pay to win - but they definitely lean closer to that revenue model.

One of the few disadvantages that it has compared to other titles, though, is that it only offers 3 classes to choose from instead of 5. Also, since we're dealing with one of the older games in this list, the graphics aren't exactly top-notch either.

The good thing about that is that just like with Order and Chaos, having a game with less impressive graphics means that it'll be easier to run on a cheaper or less powerful phone.

Best mobile mmorpg

Gameplay-wise, you can expect to find most of the standard MMORPG stuff. PVE, PVP, Special movesets and skills, customization options, mounts along with special Goddesses that you can use, and more.

Overall, Goddess: Primal Chaos is definitely a worthy candidate for the best mobile MMORPG of late 2019 and early 2020.

Pros:

  • Small size
  • Not pay to win
  • Solid gameplay
  • Not dead - despite being relatively old
  • Cross-server support (Though do keep in mind that this may introduce higher ping)

Cons:

  • Outdated graphics
