There are a lot of HDR camera applications on Google Play Store that claim to capture HDR snaps. Unfortunately, most of the applications are lying. HDR is not a filter or effect. Real photos taken with DSLR camera are result of at least 2 photos taken at different exposures and combining them. Many camera developers have missed this ton of application when producing HDR photos.Fortunately, there some camera applications that do take correct HDR photos by taking 2 or 3 pics and combining them. HDR photos makes the pics taken clear and the light source bearable. The top HDR camera applications for Android are tested and they performed well during testing.

Top 5 Camera applications

1. Camera HDR Studio

The app is a very capable high dynamic range camera for Android handsets. The interface has a few quirks though the result is very pleasing. The app has a ton of filters to play with.

2. A Better Camera

Just like the name suggests the app is indeed a better camera for high dynamic range photos. The application can take bright colors and rich detailed photos with ease. The photos taken appear almost professional. The camera has awesome shooting modes as well. The app allows you to take many shots in an instant and then get rid of the unwanted ones with ease. Expo-bracketing and burst features are available.

3. Camera360 Ultimate

The sharpness and the mid-tone contrast makes many photos look HDR. The interface is remarkable and fun. It simply makes everything simple to use. The app has a dedicated selfies mode that makes your face brighter without any marks.  The app is one of the top HDR camera applications available for free download.

4. HDR Camera

This camera application is kind of weird. The app is capable of taking authentic and real HD pictures yet it often pushes you to try A Better Camera. The developers of these apps are same and A Better Camera is a new application. Apart from the weird scenario, the application takes quality pictures.

5. HDR HQ

This app doesn’t take actual high dynamic photos but it can make regular pics look HDR with no issues. Its interface is user friendly. The application runs in seconds and most of its features are entirely free. The only issue with the app is the rampant ads. The ads pop up randomly and this makes it hard to recommend it.
