It appears that Verizon isn’t the only network pushing out a major update to Galaxy handsets today. T-Mobile has also made it known that it is currently making an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices running on the network. Though the carrier is yet to give out an update on the official changelog for this upgrade, the software build versions for the two Galaxy S6 variants, will be as follows: for the Galaxy S6 it will be a G920TUVU3EPD1 version while the S6 Edge will get G925TUVU3EPD1 version.
Given that the update to Android 6.0.1 will be a major one, it will come weighing a sizable 1.3 GB. Therefore, ensure that you have a stable Wi-Fi connection and at least 80 percent of battery charge on your device before you can proceed to download the update. An update notification should be hitting your device in the coming days, but you can also find the update manually under your phone’s Settings >> About device >> Software update.
Lets us know if you have received the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update on your device.
