With the latest bang of the new BlackBerry Priv from the Waterloo company as it announced its Android-engaged arrival, what matters most now even with a unique aesthetic device full of physical buttons added to an elegant touchscreen is an update to the latest operating system.

Gladly, the BlackBerry is not taking chances while treading on this new path. After interviews with BlackBerry’s Devices President, Ron Louks and press briefings with the Device Portfolio Planning Global Director, Gareth Hurn, something good seems to be cooking in the oven.

News have it that the new BlackBerry Priv will be receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update during the New Year’s festive season. Despite the information not being particular on dates, we can rest assured that the reports are sure and the new Priv is here to bring a real Android experience.

Following security updates that have been rolling out on BlackBerry especially Google’s monthly patches, it’s been revealed that BlackBerry is strategizing on pushing these updates to the new Priv within a one-month timeline after Google releases them.

It seems that there is a lot to be expectant about in the new BlackBerry Priv as it spins the BlackBerry web on the Android wall. With the unusual advent of BlackBerry making a new phone with a new OS altogether, the future seems promising.
