Many people don't choose a high specs smartphone, or not even a smartphone at all, for the simple reason that they want and need a solid phone to fit their maybe more active lifestyle. But things are about to change for them, because now they have devices that do both jobs to choose from. The most popular of them is the Galaxy S4 Active. News has it that the rugged smartphone is now available for sale in the UK, carrier-free. The pricing is different depending on were you buy it from. So at the Unlocked Mobiles, the Galaxy S4 Active is found starting at £465, while at the Carphone Warehouse it is sold online for £530. If you pre-ordered it on Amazon, even though it promised delivery on August 1st, the £676 charge is way too high in our opinion. But if you are willing to wait a little longer, maybe one week or so, other internet retailers announced that they will soon have the Galaxy S4 Active for sale, so a rush into this wouldn't be recommended, especially because Samsung has surely made enough handsets for everyone. In case you have no idea yet of what this smartphone is about, we inform you that it provides approximately the same features as the normal Galaxy S4: 5 inch 1080 pixels LCD display, a RAM of 2GB, 16 GB internal storage and a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor - Snapdragon 600. The big difference is the outer casing that is water and dust resistant and has a more rugged feel to it. Also the camera is only of 8 megapixels, but one of the perks of it is that it can be used underwater for taking pictures or recording.
