When it comes to buying a Samsung Galaxy Tab, whether or not future updates will ever come is a question for the divine. Samsung Netherlands scared users by announcing that there would be no Android Marshmallow for Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Tab S 10.5.
However, the release of Marshmallow for Galaxy Tab S 10.5 in Germany gave users hope. After two weeks, Samsung is now officially rolling out Android Marshmallow for Galaxy Tab S 8.4 in the United States, followed by its silent release in Europe.
According to the reports from US users, the Marshmallow update packs a file size of around 900MB. Bringing features like Doze Mode, App Permissions and much more, Galaxy Tab S 8.4 devices will be updated to build number MMB29K.T700XXU1CPH5. The report also confirms that the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has also been updated to the August security patch.
