An amazing team of developers has finally achieved success in porting the Galaxy S4 TW Launcher for any device that doesn't run on Samsung's TouchWiz. Of course you usually hear people say they want to change this launcher with the AOSP one from Nexus 4 for example or other custom ones, but for those who want to feel the touch of the S4 at least for a day, we will give you the steps to install it.
As pre-requisites, you must know that you can only install this if you have a rooted device with a custom recovery installed. You also have to determine what type of screen your device has (XHDPI, HDPI or MDPI) because the type of launcher you will install depends on this. You can search for your device here and if you don't find it here just Google it and I'm sure it will pop out.
Moving on, you will have to download one of the following files, depending on the type of screen:
Place the downloaded file on your phone's sd card. Now, make sure USB debugging is activated on your device and then turn it off. Reboot in Recovery Mode and flash the .zip file using the Custom Recovery that you have installed. This included making a backup of your device, then wiping dalvik cache, then click on 'install zip from sd card' and 'choose zip from sd card' and select the zip package that you downloaded. Click on start and wait until the installation is done. At the end, just wipe the dalvik cache once more and reboot the device.
TIP: If the launcher doesn't work, then you will need to use a root file manager app and change permission to AccuWeather.apk like this: Owner= read-write, Group= read, and Others= read.
That's it, you can now use Samsung's TouchWiz Launcher from the S4 on your device. Tell us if you like it or not.
