November has arrived, and Samsung is ready to enhance the stability of its devices with the most recent security patches. Galaxy S20 Receives Android 13

This week, it appears that Samsung is ramping up the public release of the One UI 5.0 and Android 13 updates for its devices. In addition to starting to push out the stable One UI 5.0 update to the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung earlier today released it for the Galaxy S21 series.

Although it's not yet apparent if the upgrade is available wirelessly, the Android 13 version for the Galaxy S20 Ultra, S20+, and S20 is present in our firmware archives, proving that Samsung has formally published the upgrade. In fact, we can see that the Samsung Note 20 series is also receiving the update, thus Samsung has upgraded three separate phone lineups on the same day!

Galaxy S20

As of this writing, it appears that the Galaxy S20 Ultra, S20, and S20+ in Switzerland and Germany can get the One UI 5.0 upgrade, which is based on Android 13. But you may be confident that further markets will shortly follow.

The 4G-capable Galaxy S20 and S20+ One UI 5.0 upgrade use firmware version G98xFXXUFGVJE. European owners of the Galaxy S20 Ultra can recognize the update by its firmware version, G988BXXUFGVJE. The security patch for October 2022 is included in the release.

Users of the Galaxy S20 series can update their devices to One UI 5.0 either after receiving a notification or by opening the Settings app, going to "Software update," and selecting "Download and install."

Galaxy S10 Gets Security Update

After only a few months since the Galaxy S10 series received the Oct. 2022 security patch, Samsung is now releasing another software patch for the 2019 flagship line-up. The camera,  Bluetooth, and stability have all been improved.

The new update is now available in Europe for the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e, and Galaxy S10+. The firmware version is G97xFXXUGHVJ5. In Switzerland, the patch is also accessible for the Galaxy S10 5G, with the firmware code G977BXXUDHVJ5.


The official patch notes mention stability improvements to the Camera app, Bluetooth connectivity and stability improvements, improved overall stability, and of course, the Oct. 2022 security patch, which was first released for the Galaxy S10 a few weeks ago.

Customers with a Galaxy S10 in Europe can download the update after receiving a notification. They can also manually install the update by downloading it from our website's firmware section, or by going to Settings on the Galaxy S10, going to "Software update," and tapping "Download and install."

The Galaxy S10 lineup, except the Galaxy S10 Lite, will not receive the Android 10 One UI 5.0 upgrade, so any advancements to the existing customer experiences should be welcomed.

Galaxy A31, A32 5G & Galaxy M23 5G Receive Security Update

Despite the fact that we've been in November for a week, Samsung has yet to release the November 2022 software patch for any of its phones. Users of the Samsung A32 5G can access the Oct 2022 patch with version number A326BXXS4BVJ1, according to the information. Additionally, the One UI build number M236BXXS1AVJ5 in Ukraine and Russia and M236BXXS1AVJ2 in plenty of other European nations are included in the monthly patch for the Galaxy M23 5G.
The One UI build number for the Oct 2022 security update for the Galaxy A31 is A315GDXU1DVJ2, and customers must download this update, which has a software packaging size of about 237.96 MB. Currently only available in Brazil, this update will soon be made available in additional locations.
