A fully rebuilt version of the digital QST application is now available on the Android platform. The updated was published by Nxtbook Media (the company behind the app) while responding to frustrations from readers about getting the app to work well. Although this fix has taken much longer than expected, it’s good news that it’s finally here.
App users who have enabled automatic updates on their gadgets don’t have to install the update – it happens automatically. However, readers who’ve set automatic updates to ‘off’ can now get a brand new version at the Play Store.
There haven’t been much changes to the functionality of the app. It remains the same, except for slight layout changes. In this edition, the most recent magazine displays at the top and then two or three issues show per individual row (rather than in a single column). The app should also be able to download reads much faster. The publisher has advised users to update their Android OS to the latest, Marshmallow 6.0.
