Following the turn of events that led to Google choosing Android over Chrome OS, there has been a number of speculations making rounds that Google could be planning to ditch Chrome OS since the two will not be merged together in 2017 as planned earlier.Google has said that it remains committed to its Chrome OS and that Chrome OS is going nowhere. While it remains clear that the initial plans to fold Chrome OS into the popular Android are vague, Google reiterates that there are no schemes to oust Chrome OS and Chromebooks. In Google's rejoinder to the hullabaloo, the search giant has extolled the better days it has seen with Chrome OS and Chromebooks to date, where it prides in the 30,000 plus activations of Chromebooks in the United States each day of school. Google also talks of the Share to Classroom feature which has been used by over 2 million students and teachers.Added to other graceful features such as the new Chrome OS forms coming up like the ASUS' Chromebit as well as dozens of Chromebooks set to arrive in 2016, Google is definitely not taking any chances and stands true to its word that it remains committed to Chrome OS.
