The American Satisfaction Index is giving a big hit to Apple and its iPhone 5 as the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 are the most popular devices in the USA. The Samsung Galaxy S3 received a total score of 84 on a scale from 0 to 100 in ASCI. Also, the Galaxy Note 2 received the same score while iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S received 82 points. The iPhone 4 received only 81. So, this is a big win for Samsung against Apple. We must say that the survey was finished in March, before the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4.A very curios case was created as the Americans prefer the Korean device and the Koreans prefer the American one. Apple is the flagship in South Korea while Samsung is on the second place. The director of the ASCI said that those scores are showing the progression of Samsung with its newest device while Apple is still at the same point if we look at the same scores of iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S.The Motorola Mobility Droid Razr from Google received an 80 and seems to be a new rival for Samsung and Apple as the ASCI director is declaring. There aren't scores yet for the newest devices from BlackBerry, but they will probably be back behind as the old models scored low. Also, Windows Phone devices were not rated. The rates for smartphones increased with 2.7 percent in 2013 and Apple is still number one with a total rating of 81. Samsung is on the third place with a 76 rating and the biggest increase from 69 in 2012. Motorola has a 77 rating, Nokia 76, HTC 72, LG 71 and BlackBerry only 69.
