What you pay is what you get. That's very true indeed. But, the truth is that not everyone can afford or is willing to spend $200 for a speaker. So, how about the best Bluetooth speaker under 50 bucks?

$50 is arguably the sweet spot where you're not exactly getting something premium. But, at the same time, we know that our options aren't exactly going to be garbage.

That being said, there is no speaker that can rival everything on its own. At this price point, each option has pros and cons. So, let's check out a few speakers!

1: OontZ Angle 3: Great Value

The Oontz Angle 3 is by the far the #1 best seller in Bluetooth speakers. Does that mean that it's the absolute best choice? No. But, it's still worth mentioning for a number of different reasons.

Best bluetooth speaker under 50

First of all, it offers superb value. Starting at about $25, it offers great battery life, a compact form factor, a 30-meter connectivity radius, water resistance, and decent sound.

Note how we say "Decent" sound but not great. Not bad, not great - just OK. Loudness isn't something to brag about either. But, as long as you're staying indoors and not using the speaker for a party or something, it should be plenty.

The battery lasts for about 12 hours which is more than enough to satisfy most people. Obviously, the louder that you set it, the lower that the battery life will be.

At about 30 meters, the overall Bluetooth range isn't half bad either. That being said, if you want to connect the speaker with a non-Bluetooth device, there is always the option of using the AUX port as well. So, do keep that in mind.

Regarding protection, do keep in mind that water resistance is not the same thing as water-proofing. Waterproof means that the speaker can be submerged up to a certain depth without any issues. Water resistance, on the other hand, means that you can probably get away with a few splashes. But, that's about it.

Not that we're complaining. Again, for about 25 bucks, this is quite possibly the best value for a Bluetooth speaker.

The built-in microphone that's placed near the power button is a welcome addition as well. And it may not be the best mic around, but it gets the job done.

Pros:

  • Great value
  • Offers water resistance
  • Built-in mic
  • Good battery life
  • Good Bluetooth range
  • Comes with an AUX port
  • Includes buttons for volume control and pause/resume

Cons:

  • The sound could definitely be louder and a bit more bassy

2:Vtin SoundHot Q1: Great for the Shower

Are you the type who enjoys listening to music while showering? If that's the case, do seriously consider getting this particular speaker. It's small enough to fit in most places while the string does help a lot as well.

By the way, this is not just a candidate for the best Bluetooth speaker under 50 bucks, but also for under 20! So, it's definitely one of the best options for those who want something very cheap that gets the job done.

Now, of course, at that size and price point, you can't expect to get the best sound quality. It's not bad - but it's not great either. Still, all things considered, it's not like you're going to set up a party at your bathroom anyway.

Things get even worse when you consider the fact that it's a mono speaker - which does make it sound a bit less full. The small range of about 10 meters (33 feet) is another thing to keep in mind as well.

Best bluetooth speaker under 50

All things considered, these are not massive deal-breakers. Because, again, you don't need anything super powerful for a small bathroom. Unless your bathroom is larger than 10 meters, in which case, chances are that you can afford something more expensive anyway.

Overall, this is a good speaker for those who want a small, budget option that's suitable for the bathroom. However, those of you who need a bit more volume and slightly richer sound should probably consider the alternative options.

Pros:

  • Very small/portable
  • Cheap
  • Waterproof/water resistant (Don't try to submerge it - just to be safe)
  • Ideal choice for the bathroom
  • SD card support
  • Decent battery life

Cons:

  • Mediocre sound (Mono)
  • Small Bluetooth range

3: Bugani M83: Superb Sound Quality

The above options that we looked at till now are on the mid to low-end side of things. Not to mention the small form factor. However, this one is more of a powerhouse that may somewhat blow you away.

After all, the two-front firing speakers that operate at 40 watts are nothing to laugh at. They are loud, bassy, and clear as well. Now, we're not saying that they offer an audiophile experience. But, for the price that this setup is asking, it's absolutely superb.

Speaking about pricing, the Bugani M83 will often ask for a bit more than $50. But, there are also a lot of times when you can get it cheaper. That's why it still counts as a candidate for the best Bluetooth speaker under 50.

Audio quality aside, you'll find all the bells and whistles that other Bluetooth speakers offer here as well. SD card support, on-board buttons for playback control, AUX connectivity, water-resistance and waterproofing (Up to a certain level of depth and limited duration), and a microphone for answering calls as well.

Best bluetooth speaker under 50

One interesting feature that other Bluetooth speakers don't offer is the ability to charge our phone. With its massive 8,000 mAh battery (2x 4,000 mAh ones), you can expect to get at least a couple of charges for the average phone.

Thanks to its huge battery, it also manages to last for about 40 hours on a single charge with the volume set at 50%. Still, do take that info with a grain of salt - especially if you're planning on using it outdoors at large volume levels.

The only downside is that it's more on the expensive side of things while also being a bit bulky compared to our other options.

Pros:

  • Great sound quality
  • Loud
  • Good base
  • Acts as both a power-bank and a speaker
  • Durable and waterproof
  • On-board controls are always welcome
  • AUX connectivity

Cons:

  • Large (At least compared to our other options)
  • A bit expensive (Again, compared to the other speakers)

What's the Best Bluetooth Speaker Under 50?

Every option that we looked at has both pros and cons. So, it really all comes down to personal preference. Are you willing to spend more for something louder with better audio? Is portability important? You get it.

Overall, here's what each of our picks does best in a nutshell:

  1. OontZ Angle 3: All around an average speaker at a good price
  2. Vtin SoundHot Q1: Cheap and portable. Also a great option for bathrooms
  3. Bugani M83: Offers the best audio quality, battery life, and loudness. But, it's also more expensive, heavier, and bigger

As you can clearly see, it's all a matter of personal preference and needs. Those who are not afraid of stretching the $50 mark a bit will most likely prefer the Bugani M83. But, other than that, it all comes down to what you need.
