First things first, let us start by saying that these offer very strong base. That's great for bass lovers, of course. But anyone else may find them to be a bit too boomy. As expected, the highs are a bit overemphasized to compensate for the strong bass and that can be painful for some people. However, most reviewers don't seem to dislike their overall sound signature.

The wireless case that's included with the earbuds can give 14 extra hours of battery life while it supports wireless charging. So, we'd say that it's a great choice for traveling.

Without the charging case, you can expect to get about 4 hours of play time on a single charge. And while that's definitely nothing compared to the Galaxy Buds+, don't forget that they only ask for a small fraction of their price too.

As we mentioned above, this is a waterproof pair. To be more specific, IPX8 waterproof. This means that you can even submerge the earbuds under a very small depth (Usually a meter or so) without any issues. We obviously wouldn't recommend trying that out. But, just saying.

While you're obviously not going to get noise cancelation at this price point, the passive noise isolation is pretty decent thanks to the good ear seal. We wouldn't recommend these as your primary choice for commuting. But, for anything other than that, you're good to go.

One of the main reasons that we placed this pair on our list is not only thanks to how cheap they are but also due to how stable they can be on your head. This is mostly thanks to the ear-hooks that may feel a bit strange at first - but you quickly get used to them.

As far as battery life is concerned, not only you get a portable charging case, which, at this price point, is rather impressive by itself (Fix: It's only a mini carrying bag). But you also get 8 hours of battery life on a single charge without the help of the case at all.

Another strong point of them is their overall noise-isolation performance. By providing a decent fit into your ears along with ANC, the AirPods Pro are a great choice for commuting and noisy environments.

Of course, nothing is perfect and that applies to the AirPods Pro as well. As with almost all wireless earbuds, their microphone quality is mediocre at best. And while the microphone noise isolation is pretty decent, we wouldn't recommend these for making calls in very noisy environments such as subways.

Just like most wireless earbuds nowadays, the AirPods Pro come with their own wireless charging case. It can give you up to 24 hours of battery life while the AirPods on their own last for about 4.5 hours. That's definitely a bit low considering how much they are asking for. But, it should be more than enough for one long session before you have to put them in their case again.

All things aside, the additional ear-tips that are provided with the earbuds are a welcome addition too.

Surely, the name could be a bit smaller. But that's the least of our worries when looking for a decent pair of earbuds.

The sound quality is pretty decent - if only a bit lacking in terms of bass compared to other earbuds at the same price point. This may be a bit of a turn-off for bass lovers. But, we assume that everyone else will find the bass to be more than adequate.

As far as battery life is concerned, you can get about 5 hours on a single charge - which is to expected at this price point. The wireless case gives you 15 extra hours when you are on the road - but keep in mind that it uses micro USB for charging.

Another impressive thing about these earbuds is that they offer an IPX7 water-resistance certification. That's something that we often don't even see in high-end options for some reason. So, that's a big plus for us.

As far as downsides are concerned, we kind of have a rough time finding anything at this price point. You obviously can't expect these earbuds to sound as good as other picks that cost twice or thrice as much. What you pay is what you get but that doesn't stop the SoundCore Liberty Neo from offering great value.

Starting with sound, these are definitely more bassy than their competitors (Galaxy Buds+ and AirPods Pro). That can be both a good and a bad thing depending on who you're asking. People who love bass or genres that rely a lot on it, such as dubstep, will definitely find this to be a great pair.

If you prefer balanced sound, well, we're not saying that the lows on these are completely overwhelming. But, compared to the Buds+, they definitely overemphasize the bass a bit.

As you already saw, these are rated IP55 which means that they can withstand a few drops of water and sweat. But, we definitely wouldn't recommend submerging them anywhere and maybe don't even use them under heavy rain. IP55 may not be much - but it's better than nothing.

Recording quality, as per usual, is just about average and just as good as wireless earbuds can get. And the same goes for microphone noise cancelation.

Since there is no ANC, the passive noise isolation is just about as good as the Galaxy Buds+. So, these are more than good enough for environments with medium noise levels. But as far as commuting is concerned, maybe get the AirPods instead.

If you rely on your virtual assistant to get through the day, you'll love the fact that these are compatible with all of the most popular ones. This includes Alexa, Google, and Siri as well.

Also, keep in mind that the bass is generally not very powerful here. And while that's not considered a downside from an audiophile's point of view, bass lovers will probably prefer something a bit more thumpy.

At 7 hours, their battery life is just about average considering the fact that we're looking at a pair of high-end earbuds. The charging case that has a premium feel to it also delivers 21 extra hours which should plenty enough for most people even while traveling.

Speaking of premium feel, the overall build quality of these earbuds is amongst the best on this list. They feel very sturdy and expensive on your hands.

At $250+, you'd obviously expect that the Momentum 2 would come with ANC - and they do. But keep in mind that it's somewhat mediocre. While they manage to block most of the outdoor noises, they really struggle with stuff like engine sounds. So, maybe not the best pick for commuting.
