After making an announcement for the update roll-out recently, Verizon has went ahead and started rolling out an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the LG V10. The software version comes with a VS99022A build number and brings all the key features of Android 6.0 operating system to theV10 device. This includes Google Now on Tap, Doze mode, revamped app permissions and many more. For manually checking of the update's availability, go into Settings >> About phone >> Software updates >> Check for update. As of yet, the firmware as well as the OTA link haven't been available online, but you can expect to see them pop up on developer sites such as the XDA forum, for those who prefer manually flashing the software rather than sitting tight. Ensure you have enough storage space available on your LG V10, sufficient battery life and a stable Wi-Fi connection, because major Android updates can be resource-intensive as well as being pretty heavy. If your V10 device is rooted, its advisable to avoid the update installation until you have determined whether or not the update could potentially break root.
