The official update is still on the testing phase by Samsung, and we already know they aren't so excited to release updates for mid-range devices anyway.Luckily for Beam users the 4.1.2 test firmware works really well and can be installed manually using Odin. You will notice that the interface hasn't seen many changes, but the device reacts 2 times faster than it used to. It runs a lot smoother and also seems to experience a better battery life with this new update.If you want to install Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on your Samsung Galaxy Beam, you can do so by first downloading I8530XXAMF1_I8530OXAAMF1_XEO.rar. Then you have to run Odin which can be found in the downloaded archive. Restart the Galaxy Beam in download mode (press Home + Power + Vol Down buttons). Connect the device to the PC using your USB cable and then wait for Odin to recognize your device.Press on CODE and add CODE_I8530XXAMF1_1053499_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.
