HTC has been pretty consistent in showing its commitment when it comes to rolling out updates of the latest Android versions. Now it seems like the HTC One M9 variant on the Sprint carrier is next on the list. The software support page for the Sprint network disclosed that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update began hitting the HTC One M9 on February 5th. Like most software updates, it may take a little while before it reaches out to all the One M9 handsets. This new firmware update will raise the One M9's operating system up to a 3.41.651.3 version. But what are some of the new features to expect from Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade? First, users will be able to take advantage of Google Now on Tap features, which will be virtually accessible anywhere on your phone. Additionally, you will get more improved app permission controls, a handy power saving function referred to as the Doze Mode and revamped volume controls.Like mentioned above, owners of the device may have to wait a couple of days before the update is made available to their phones. If you are yet to see the update notification, you can check for it manually by navigating to your handset's Settings >> System updates >> Check now.
