Customers of the Xperia devices have been patiently waiting for the Sony company to begin its release of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the handsets, and it seems like the wait is finally coming to an end for a few owners. Finally breaking its update silence, the Sony Xperia GB Twitter feed has hinted that Marshmallow roll out could commence around March 7th, 2016.The tweet also disclosed that the update is slated for the Xperia Z4 Tablet, Sony's Xperia Z5 series of handsets and the Xperia Z3+. Sony has always had a penchant of pushing out big mass update to its devices, so quite possibly, several more handsets may be added on the list towards the March scheduled update release.Though Sony has not really provided much information in terms of its Android Marshmallow update schedule, its has already promised that a wide variety of its device will get the software upgrade. In addition, the company has been making efforts to work on its Concept program for the Android software. Just recently, Sony also announced a beta program for the Marshmallow software for their Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3 and the Z3 Compact for users in the Netherlands, Italy and Spain, indicating that the following official Android update may be almost at its final development stages.March 7th is a bit far away, so its best not to see this as deadline but rather a suggestion that the update is well on its way.
