If you are still rocking a Samsung Galaxy S5 branded by the T-Mobile carrier, then you should keep an eye out for an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update notification on your device. T-Mobile has stated on its support site that the update begun rolling out on May 23.In addition to upgrading the device’s firmware to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the update brings the benefits of features such Doze mode  which helps you reduce battery consumption while your device is asleep, Google Now on Tap for contextual searches, configurable app permission controls and a lot more.Considering the update is still in its first stages of rolling out, it may take a while before every single Galaxy S5 sees it. But, you can still manually check for the OTA update by going into your phone’s Settings and scrolling to the About phone section.

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
