Users of the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with model number SM-N920C can now download the latest July security patches. As usual, North American owners of this device should expect to receive an OTA notification asking them to download and install this latest update.Important to note, this is just a regular monthly security update for the Galaxy Note 5. You shouldn’t expect any big deal from it. The update weights roughly 23MB, so you don’t necessarily need to connect to a strong Wi-Fi network in order to get it on your device. If you still haven’t received an OTA notification by now, it’s probably because you don’t use the current Samsung firmware version, which ends with PE6. You can easily check this by navigating to the About Phone device section in your smartphone’s Settings. If your phone is riding on the latest firmware version but you still haven’t gotten the notification, manually check for availability of the update by navigating to Settings>About Phone>System Update. With this security patch, the AT&T Note 5 joins the likes of T-Mobile and Verizon that rolled out the update earlier on in July.
