With the latest news reporting that Google has released the final model of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the big question here is who’s getting it and when.

Well, HTC users have a reason to smile and dance, having got a confirmation that their devices are next in the queue. The HTC devices included in this list are: HTC One M8 Eyes, HTC One M8, HTC One M9, HTC One E9 Plus, HTC One E9, HTC One M9 Plus, Desire 820, Desire 816 and Desire 826.

HTC One M8 will be the first in this list since it has the best compatibility in terms of its software build. It’s worth noting that nothing has been said yet concerning HTC One M7.

However, before going trigger-happy with joy, it’s worth keeping in mind that this will take some time before the actual roll-out is done by your carrier since a test of the OS will have to be conducted first. In this regard, US carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are yet to announce when the OTA update for Android 6.0 Marshmallow on HTC devices will be released.

HTC comes second in the roll-out list after Google released the first batch of the roll-out to its own Nexus devices starting with the just launched Nexus 5X and 6P.
