Verizon has announced that its roll out of the Marshmallow update is currently in progress for the Droid Maxx 2. The over the air update bumps up Droid Maxx 2’s software version to 24.64.4.The Marshmallow upgrade will enhance performance, fix bugs, as well as include the latest security updates. Aside from this, it will apply the entire collection of Android 6.0 Marshmallow features such as Now on Tap for contextual search results, a smart battery saving Doze feature, enhanced privacy via granular app permissions, expandable internal storage via SD card and much more.The update is currently still in its initial roll-out phase, therefore you will have to be patient as it may take some time before you see it hit your Maxx 2. However, your device's Settings >> About device is always available if you want to keep checking if the update has landed.Let us know once you are able to update your Droid Maxx 2 with new Marshmallow software.

What's my model number?

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
