After being teased for a while now, users of the Canadian versions of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note 5, running on the Telus and Bell carriers finally have a reason to smile. Though it seems like those on Rogers will have to wait till April 27th, it still comforting to know that a Marshmallow upgrade is on its way. Owners of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note 5 will no longer wonder what it feels like to have a ticket to Android 6.0 Marshmallow goodness.
Now they can enjoy the benefits of Google Now on Tap, Android 6.0’s Doze battery management feature as well as the advantages of granular app permissions, which allows them to decide how much access they are willing to give to apps. Also included is native fingerprint scanning support, which also gives you a pathway to use Android Pay as well as enhance the security of your device.
Keep an eye out for the over the air update in the coming days, also ensuring that you check via Settings >> About Device >> Software Update to see if you missed the update notification.
