The Android distribution numbers for the month of June have just been released by Google. 8 months after the Android 6.0 Marshmallow was made live to carriers and OEMS around the globe, it now appears that around 10% of all Android devices have it installed. This is an increase from last month where only 7.5% of all devices had adopted it. A .2% decrease has however been seen for devices running on Android Lollipop, with their numbers now standing at 35.4%. 31.6% of all Android devices are now running on Android KitKat, dropping .9% from last month. Going strong at 18.9% are Android devices powered by Jelly Bean 4.1 to 4.3, even though it has decreased by 1.2% from last month. Meanwhile, the Android distribution numbers for Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Froyo come in at 2%, 1.9% and .1% respectively. Because Froyo has distribution rate of less than .1%, it is not shown on the chart. What do you think about June's Android distribution numbers? Let us know in the comments.
