With the Android 6.0 Marshmallow being introduced only a few months ago, most smartphone owners have been anxious about when this latest update will reach their devices. A few OEMs have already rolled out the update while others are yet to begin. Among the first few devices to receive an OTA version of the Marshmallow software update, was the LG G4, more specifically in the European regions. Recently, the Android Marshmallow update began rolling out to Sprint carriers of the LG G4 handsets in the US.The LG G4 Android Marshmallow will be via an over the air update and will see the current software version reach LS991ZV9, which also comes with the Sprint carrier's Global Roaming functionality.This new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will provide owners of the Sprint carrier 's LG G4 will have additional access to the original Android 6.0 Marshmallow features which include the battery saving feature referred to as the Doze mode which prevents standby power consumption on your device, a Google Now on Tap feature and also optimized app permissions.The software is rolling out in stages, so if you own the device and you have yet to see the update notification, keep checking in your Software/System update section on your phone's Setting under the About phone option over the next few days.

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
