The benefit of doing this is that you don't have to wait for rooting kits to appear and you don't have to do 2 things separately.Before proceeding with installing the pre-rooted Android 4.1.2 XWLS8, please note that this procedure is risky and can brick your device.   • Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 (check Model Number in Settings > About phone)
  • CWM Recovery installed
  • Nandroid backup
Downloads: How to install pre-rooted Android 4.1.2 XWLS8 on Galaxy S2 I9100:
  1. Move the downloaded zip archive on the sd card of your Galaxy S2.
  2. Turn off the device
  3. Turn on in Recovery Mode (Press volume up and power buttons. Leave both buttons when you see the SAMSUNG logo. Then press menu soft key and wait).
  4. Perform a Wipe data/factory reset.
  5. Select Install zip from sd card, choose the GT-I9100-XWLS8-FOP-deodexed-by-tedascuen.zip.
  6. Wait for the installation to complete.
  7. Then press reboot in the Recovery menu.
This should install Android 4.1.2 pre-rooted on your Galaxy S2.

What's my model number?

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"

Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
