The February Android security update for the Huawei Mate 8 is finally here!!Huawei Mate 8 owners have already started receiving the security patch for the month of February. This new update brings the Android security patch level to February 1, 2016 and will tackle issues such as the execution of remote codes as well as issues related to escalation, potential security risks and a lot more.A couple of manufacturers have already rolled out their February Android security patch. Some of the issues declared critical by the Google developer team for this month, are all related to remote code execution and escalation of privileges. The security patch rolled out this month will have the remote code bugs in a Broadcom Wi-Fi driver fixed along with debugger daemon and the Mediaserver. Issues that are marked High like the escalation vulnerabilities in the Mediaserver and Android Wi-Fi system, will also be addressed.Huawei Mate 8 has been is reportedly planned to launch on the US market later this year. If you are yet to see the update arrive on your handset, you can access it manually by heading into the Settings then tap About phone and check if the update is available.
