After a longtime running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, the HTC One M8 Eye is finally getting a much needed switch to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The Marshmallow software upgrade is presently rolling out to owners of the One M8 Eye in India. For the first stage of the installation process, users will need to first download an interim update weighing 119.7 MB, before they can be able to have the sizable 1.07 GB Android 6.0.1 update installed on their HTC device.Once you have the software updated, the One M8 Eye operating system firmware version will be bumped to a 5.07.720.1 build number. Along with the core features of the Marshmallow operating system, the update will also include the February security patch from Google. If you happen to be a lucky owner of the HTC One M8 Eye, then you can check if the update is available for download by going to Settings >> About phone >> Software updates.
