4.3 4Earlier today we posted a few screenshots with Android 4.3 on a Galaxy S4 device. That was supposed to be a test firmware, ready to be installed on the new Google Play Edition Galaxy S4. Now, thanks to Sammobile who got their hands on the first test firmware Android 4.3 from a Google Play Edition Galaxy S4, we can give you the installation files so that you can install the firmware on your Galaxy S4 I9505.

As I said earlier, this version of Android 4.3 can only be installed on Galaxy S4 I9505 (Snapdragon CPU) devices. The firmware is 100% stock Android with no added features.

This is only a small upgrade however, as there are no major differences between the current Android and the 4.3 one. You can still choose to install it bu first make sure you know your way with Custom Recoveries. Also you will lose warranty, so decide carefully what you want to do.

Install Android 4.3 JWR66N on Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505

You will need to have a Custom Recovery installed. Do a Nandroid backup first just to make sure everything is backed up. After that you can download the firmware, choosing either the Odexed or Deodexed version:

Then place the downloaded file on the SD card of your device. Reboot in Recovery Mode (Press Power + Vol Up + Home). Perform a full factory reset (this will wipe all your data). Then select install zip from sd card and choose the file you downloaded earlier. Start the process and reboot the phone at the end. That’s it, Android 4.3 is installed on your Galaxy S4 I9505 phone.
