We're about to conclude the second week of May, and while has not been as explosive for mobile updates on Android as the last week, there is still plenty to discuss. Android 11 is out for T-Mobile’s OnePlus 7T Pro 5G

After the global variants of the OnePlus 7, the 7Pro, 7T, and 7TPro got updated to Android 11 in March, and their respective T-Mobile version getting the same update in April. The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G Units locked to T-Mobile’s network are now set to get updated with Android 11.

The new firmware with version number 11.0.1.2.HD61CB weighing 2.6 GB, features Android 11 with the latest security patch of April 2021. Although we’re yet to cross paths with the official changelog, it is expected to feature all the newbies of Android 11, like chat bubbles, one-time permission, and notification history.

OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro Get Oxygen OS 12.2.5 Update with Camera Improvements

OnePlus brings in another update for its newly launched OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro devices. The update, Oxygen OS 12.2.5, features the latest May 2021 security patch along with some improvements in the camera section. The latest firmware, which weighs around 130 MB, sees the following improvements

Revised Road Map for Android 11 Updates in HMD Global Devices 

HMD Global brings out the revised Android 11 Update Road Map for 2021. According to it, the Nokia 9 Pure View, Nokia 6.2, and Nokia 7.2, which were supposed to feature Android 11 somewhere in the second quarter (Q2) of 2021, will instead get the update in the thirds quarter (Q3). Talking about the smartphones that are desired to get the update in this quarter include

Galaxy A11 About to Get Update with Android 11 Based One UI 3.1

With us concluding the second week of May 2021, the Samsung Galaxy A11 devices are getting updated to the latest One UI 3.1 featuring Android 11.

The new firmware, which holds to version number A115MUBU2BUE1, is expected to bring all the attractive Android 11 features, including chat bubbles, one-time permissions, and optimized notifications. In addition to these, the devices might also get the security updated with the latest patches. Although the update is exclusive for devices in Panama, you can expect a global outsource real soon.

Redmi 10S Gets MIUI 12.5 Update

Just before getting launched in India, the Redmi 10S devices are getting the MIUI 12.5 update. The new MIUI version, which started featuring Chinese variants of varied devices in December last year, has gradually started stepping foot in the global scenario. RealMe 7i Sees the Stable Version of RealMe UI 2.0

Three months after the 7i Devices from RealMe registered itself in the early access program of RealMe UI 2.0 is finally receiving the stable version of it. As per official sources, the latest firmware featuring Android 11 holds to the same version number RMX2103_11_C.05 and weighs somewhere around 800 MB.

The update features a load of improvements and optimizations, including the dark mode, the optimized Night Charging that is set to control charging speed at night. The new firmware also sees a significant improvement in security as RealMe brings in a system cloner with which users can have different accounts secured with fingerprints. In addition, Real Me UI 2.0 makes way for the Android 11 features like the one-time permission toggle switch.

• You can now easily remove a folder or can combine it with another one.

• The "Drawer mode" features new filters: This will allow you to filter apps by letters, usage frequency, or install time.

• The update adds the inertial zoom feature. This makes the zooming experience smoother during video shooting.

• The update sees the introduction of the level and grid feature for helping you compose videos.

• The update added a Sleep Capsule, which will help you schedule downtime and secure the sleep time you're having.

Accessibility

• Added "Sound amplifier": You can amplify faint sounds in the environment and soften loud sounds when wearing earphones.

RealMe X7 5G Lines Itself Up for RealMe UI 2.0

The update for the latest version of UI from RealMe is going at the full pace as this time, the X7 5G variants are lined up for the early access program. The process is similar to the other devices—the devices with enough storage and currently running the UI version RMX3092PU_11.A.14, or RMX3092PU_11.A.16 or RMX3092PU_11.A.17 can start the process of joining the early access program. Although every RealMe X7 5G device is eligible to join, there are limited seats. So, make sure you are quick to respond.
