Beginning last summer, Google started the process of disbursing monthly OS updates to fix security issues and other problems with its widely used operating system. Users can easily check whether their device has a new update available by checking through Settings>About Phone (or Tablet). You’ll be able to see the patch area. If the latest patch date for your device is within the last two months, you probably are better off and have the latest update. You can check whether there’s something manually (check for new software).Updates for Google’s Nexus hardware are usually available within the next two weeks. The best thing to do is to check your device manufacturer’s website, forums and social media to get an idea when the next update for your operating system will be available.
