Leon Rosenzwaig, the director of HTC's product management in Canada revealed that the Android 6.0.1 will begin rolling out to unlocked models for the HTC One A9 smartphone. These One A9 devices will be those that were directly purchased from HTC.ca.HTC originally announced the update roll out back in December, 2015 but later delayed it for January without disclosing the reasons. The HTC One A9 on Sprint was the initial model to receive the Marshmallow update which was released in late January.The update details includes improvements on battery life, camera features, system enhancements, an added Wi-Fi calling function along with the core Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update.If you own the device, you can access the update on your smartphone by going into the Settings menu >> System updates >> HTC software update then tap Check now.

What's my model number?

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
