After ages of being stuck in the former OS, Android KitKat, the Samsung Galaxy E7 will soon be receiving the update for Android 5.1.1 firmware, which has already been updated into other devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, S3 and S4. Just like in other smartphones, there will be some small bug fixes in the new package.Meanwhile, users of this device can be hopeful of receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow soon as Google is planning to cover 95% of all devices by the close of 2015. As of now, 70% of devices have been covered in the Marshmallow firmware chart. Some fore-runners have had the advantage of jumping straight through Android 5.1.1 to Android Marshmallow update because of compatible aspects. Since the update is OTA, you can sign up for it via the option for software update that is under your settings. After confirming the update, it stretches over E700HXXU1BOJ7 PDA which supported the SM-E700H version. It's worth noting that this is not the first time the Lollipop OS is being updated on the E7 since there was an earlier update to devices in Sri Lanka. The E7 has all the hardware required for an update to Marshmallow but owners of this device have to wait for some more weeks for the firmware upgrade. The release date for Marshmallow to E7 is yet to be clear though word has it that the Lollipop OS will be coming with bug fixes for Stagefright 2.0. This is yet to be confirmed too.
