We can say that the estranged Motorola can at least have a reason to rejoice upon the good piece of news received from Google’s table. It has been confirmed that the two Sprint AT & T devices from Motorola will be receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that the dates when this will take effect are yet to be confirmed.Rumors, however have it that this will be effected during the first two weeks of November where the OS is set to roll out to the Moto G versions of 2015.It’s also worth noting that the Moto X pure edition will first get a soak test before qualifying for the Android Marshmallow update. A soak test will involve taking a small sample of the Moto X pure edition phones then installing them with the operating system after which their compatibility is observed in order to conclude whether the device can accommodate the new operating system. The Moto X is therefore, bound to receive the update before the third generation of Moto G. However, it’s worth noting that this is heavily dependent on the success of the soak test. Motorola has expressed confidence that this process will be a success.
