HTC has commenced their roll out of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its HTC Desire 816. This Android Marshmallow upgrade will be available to owners of the Desire 816 device branded with major US carriers including T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and AT&T. Look out for the firmware update notification and to immediately start enjoying all the perks that come with Marshmallow. In case you had already given up on the Marshmallow upgrade and somehow forgot its core additions, then here is a sneak peak. Once you update the Marshmallow firmware onto your HTC Desire 816, expect features Google Now On Tap, which gives you detailed search information depending on the contextual information currently on your screen; a bunch of new emojis; granular app permission system that gives you the choice to give or deny certain privileges requested by apps and a lot more. What's my model number?
There are several ways to locate your model number:

- On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"

- Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
