Android 5.1 for the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will be live on all these devices pretty soon. Android 5.1 is a maintenance release so many features should be expected. All Nexus devices that got Android 5.0 will also get Android 5.1 Lollipop. This update will be availed on Google Play soon after it is released to Nexus devices.The new update is set to change the behavior of Bluetooth and WIFI buttons in quick settings. After pressing the text below the Bluetooth and WIFI buttons, a list of nearby Bluetooth and WIFI networks will show. Android 5.1 is said to have four volume modes compared to three volume modes in Android 5.0.Android 5.1 will have the Clock app. The new update will also bring tweaks in the Contacts app.  The Android update will be released in phases. Nexus 6 and 9 are to be the first devices to get the new update. The latest version of Google’s world-popular mobile operating system will bring more realistic and clear 3D effects and vivid colors.According to GottaBeMobile, the new version will address the problem of apps crashing. It is also expected to have these bugs fixed:

  • Solving notification problems
  • Wireless connection issues
  • Sound problems
  • Issues caused by the OK Google function
The new version is set to fix bugs and avail several interface tweaks. Indeed the new version is rumored to be entirely free of bugs. Android 5.1 is expected to come with bug fixes which include:

  • Battery performance
  • Better internet consumption
  • Return of silent mode
According to Christian Times, A Nexus 5 is spotted with an already installed Android 5.1. The new version is to debut multiuser support for phones and smart lock. The update will allow your device to display for how long it can be used continuously till the battery is dead.
