Android Auto is one of those things that a lot of us look forward to. Well, if you’re been looking to hit the road with this new tech, there’s an increasing range of available options that you can choose from. If you drive a Kia vehicle, a soon-to-come software update might bring Google’s top line infotainment system to your ride.Kia just announced that they are working on scaling availability of Android Auto to 8 models produced between 2014 and 2017. These include the Forte, Optima, Optima Hybrid, Sedona, Soul, Soul EV, Sorento, and Sportage. Each of these vehicles will get Android Auto via an upgrade. Vehicle owners will receive mail directing them to myuvo.com, from where they’ll check availability and get step-by-step directions on how to upgrade their models. In order to accommodate the Android Auto update, the cars have to be installed with a UVO 3 or AVN 4.0 entertainment system. For those who might be a little in the dark, Android Auto converts your vehicle to a top of the range infotainment system that can be connected to via your smartphone. It’s designed that you keep your eyes on the road while still enjoying the best.
