Following its push out of the Android Marshmallow update to a variety of its Xperia devices, including the Xperia Z2 and the Xperia Z3 series, Sony appears now to be focusing on its Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact users will no longer watch in envy as their counterparts enjoy the Android Marshmallow features, as they too will now get a taste, because Sony is currently pushing out an over the air update of the software.The upgrade set to take the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact device straight to an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow software version, will also boost the build number to 23.5.A.0.570. Some of the main Marshmallow features you can expect to see include, Doze mode, Google Now on Tap, added granular app permission controls; along with Sony’s very own additional tweaks.The update is already available for variants of the Sony tablet, such as Wi-Fi (SGP611, SGP612), and LTE (SGP621, SGP641).For those who are yet to see the update notification, sit patient as it should hit your device shortly.

There are several ways to locate your model number:

- On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"

- Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
