Following the update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Verizon is now pushing out a rather untimely update for Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+.  Similar to the update for S7 and S7 Edge, this incremental upgrade Barcode Beaming Service to the two devices.Apart from Bar Beaming Service, Verizon is also giving the two top Samsung devices new ways of using Contacts. However, there are some extra features reserved just for Galaxy S6 Edge+ devices, which Galaxy Note 5 does not come with.The software version for Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ is MMB29K.N920VVRU2BPG5 and MMB29K.G928VVRU2BPG5 respectively. Moreover, the Amazon Music app that came preloaded with the two devices has been removed with the latest update.

What's my model number?

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
