The Ghost Push Malware is a malicious trojan code that cunningly roots your device and installs unwanted apps, all in your oblivion. The rule to play by in order to be safe has always been to stick to Google Play Store while downloading apps as the site has always been said to be safe from threats such as malware among other dangers. However, this is not the case anymore as far as the Ghost Push Malware is concerned because this trojan malware has managed to slyly crawl its way into the most trusted official apps platforms, Google Play Store included. This malicious code, which was unveiled by Cheetah mobile just recently, has already managed to get its way into 900, 000 devices, which is quite a worrying figure considering the number of markets and phone manufacturers in that bracket that have fallen prey to the malware. These affected devices include tablets and smartphones from various manufacturers. The ability of this code to slice through so many devices unnoticed has been boosted by its nature. Besides circumventing security measures that have been established by Google Play Store and many other markets, the Ghost Push Malware has been able to obtain full rooting ability and total control of tablets and smartphones, an aspect that has made it nearly impossible to do away with. Some of the apps that have been infected with this malware include Smart Touch, Talking Tom 3, spurious versions of calculator, Assistive Touch, ShareIt, Easy Locker, WiFi Enhancer, 2048kg, Light Browser, Kiss Browser and others as well. After this Chinese malware gets full control of your device, the hackers running the malicious operation then go ahead to initiate unperturbed rooting procedures on your device as well as installing apps without your consent. Definitely, these self-installed apps do not come free of charge. As estimated by Cheetah Mobile, this delinquent ring has been making about $4.05 million in a day. However, the good news is that something has been done about it anyway. These malicious applications were all taken down very fast from Google Play Store. However, some of you may not have been so lucky and may have downloaded one or more of the affected apps. What's really annoying about this quite nasty virus is that it finds its home in the internals of your phone, making it quite difficult to remove. It's so bad to such an extent that most of the anti-virus software around cannot remove it.However, Cheetah Mobile has finally come to the rescue with a newly invented tool that will throttle Ghost Push Malware to its death. The app that has been introduced by Cheetah Mobile is also good at detecting other forms of malware. Therefore, if you notice any weird behaviour on your smartphone or tablet, or if you have fallen prey by downloading any of the listed apps, do not hesitate in running this app in order to save your device from the predator that is prowling on the other end waiting to attack.
