zA new report made by Strategy Analytics is showing another strong position for Android Tablets which are still number one and have a big difference between them and the second position where iOS products are found. The second quarter of the 2013 reached a total number of 34.6 million Android units shipped which is a big raise from the last year which totaled a number of 18.5 units. Apple reached a total number of 14.6 units shipped in the second quarter of this year, number which is pretty small in comparison with Android units. Also, the units shipped decreased from a total number of 17 million in 2012.

Android is the world’s number one with tablets and it has a 67 percent from the total number of the devices on the market which is a big increase from the second quarter of 2012 when only a 47.2 percentage was reached. Apple had the same percentage the last year, but now it suffered a big decrease to 28.3 million.

The reason why Android is far ahead is that there are a lot of manufactures which use Android. Acer, Asus, Amazon, Samsung, Google and other companies are using Android and iOS is used only by Apple. However, this is a big victory for Android. Also, another good increase was recorded by Microsoft which reached a total market share of 4.5 percent, and this will probably be bigger in the next quarters.
