It may be months before any of us non-Nexus users even see a glimpse of Android 7.0 Nougat. However, U.S. cellular carrier T-Mobile has already created its list of eligible Samsung devices to receive Android Nougat update.Unfortunately, the official T-Mobile blog only highlights the Android devices and not the timeframe of when updates will be released. While the carrier has collaborated with the manufacturers to “support a new software update” it could be months before any actual update rolls out.
“Once the update is available your device will provide a notification that the update is available with direction on how to download it. You do not need to contact T-Mobile or the manufacturer. Customer Service uses the same information that customers can access online. Not all devices will be listed on this page for future software updates.”
To no surprise, Samsung devices to receive Android Nougat update with T-Mobile takes up the majority of the share. Out of the 7 formerly introduced devices that will pack the upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat, 2 belong to the HTC line-up.
  • HTC 10
  • HTC One M9
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 5
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 7
  • Samsung Galaxy S6
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 edge
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+
  • Samsung Galaxy S7
  • Samsung Galaxy S7 edge
Samsung devices to receive Android Nougat

More devices will soon be added to the list

Samsung devices mentioned above will be the only currently released devices to receive Nougat under T-Mobile. However, the list could open up for devices like the LG G5 and LG V10, whose successor will come with Nougat right out of the box.It will be months before any of the OEMs release a Nougat update for their devices. However, you can always depend on the Updato Samsung firmware platform to catch the latest batch of updates right away.
