With the beginning of December and Google preparing to roll out the December security update for its line of Pixel and Nexus devices, others are still catching up. The popular U.S. network carrier, T-Mobile has finally released the November security update for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
While the carrier was quick to release the November security update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, the older flagship devices are being updated almost a month later. Being a minor update that just bumps up the security level to November 1, there isn’t much to get excited over with the latest update.
The firmware version is upgraded to G920TUVU5EPK5 for the Galaxy S6 and to G925TUVU5EPK5 for the T-Mobile variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge. The update is being pushed Over-the-Air and should be available to users across the United States in the coming days.
To check for the latest available update manually simply open Settings->About phone->Software update->Check for updates. You can also keep an eye out for all the latest available November update for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge on our Samsung firmware platform.
