Carrier branded devices such as the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 usually get updates directly from the carrier, in this case from Sprint which are meant to improve minor bugs and stability issues. This time, Sprint Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 got updates with minor modifications, but this is still the same Jelly Bean that was before, so no high hopes there. The Galaxy S3 received the L710VPMA6 update. The L710VPMA6 update changes the following: enhanced Voicemail app, 3-digit SMS support and it fixes the Calendar sync issues. The L900VPMA7 update for Galaxy Note 2 improves the overall security of the device. It is suspected that the update fixes the Exynos exploit issue. The 2 updates will get out as OTA updates, but they will do so in separate phases. So some of you may still wait to receive the update. The ones that already got the update can share with us their experience with the new OS.
