Samsung’s new device, a circle-shaped gear that has 2 earbuds that could be separated from each other and employed for music and voice calls listening, is now here. Trending online as the ‘Samsung Gear Circle’, this device is officially available in the United States, as of November 5 2014.The Samsung Gear Circle shapes like a geometric circle when its two earbuds are connected, and serves both as a Bluetooth stereo headphone as well as a communication gadget that can comfortably sit around a user’s neck. Based on information from the tech giant, this Gear Circle will work with just any Bluetooth-capable phone. At first sight, one might easily mistake the use and purpose of this device, more so considered it looks precisely like an electro-necklace. But upon a closer inspection, it’s clear that the device’s two earbuds at its center can be removed and employed to listen to music or as earpieces to hold phone conversations. A built in microphone is part of this gadget, which makes it possible to receive and make phone calls straight from this device. The fact that it works via Bluetooth connections means it doesn’t limit you just to Samsung smartphones. You can easily connect to any Blue-tooth capable smartphone, and listen to music or make calls. Typically, it serves in a large part as a Bluetooth earpiece, only it’s quite more advanced.According to first hand reports from Samsung, the gear circle will vibrate to alert its users of incoming phone calls. It can also handle over 9 hours’ worth of music playback, and as many as 11 hours’ worth of talk time for each single charge. Users will also be able to use this device with Samsung’s S Voice text-to-speech service.Currently, only two color models are available in the market (blue and black), but there are suggestions a white version will be exclusively availed at Best Buy. The other colors can however be obtained from select T-Mobile stores, but will later be available at Samsung.com, Amazon.com and AT&T.
