Somewhere in 2013, rumors came up that Apple wants compensations of $30-$40 per device for Copertino giant's patents, a sum that Samsung didn't pay. It seems that the information was right and Apple wants Samsung to pay for five patents, instead of the full portfolio .This are:slide to-unlock, data synchronization, phone number tapping, unified search and autocomplete. This sounds quite bizarre as the sum is somewhere in the billion range. The sum that Apple wants is huge and bigger than from the first trial California Apple vs Samsung, ended with Samsung paying up to $929 millions, for three patents: over scroll bounce, pinch to zoom and tap to zoom, a total of $7.14. Lawyers from Apple will present the new terms in front of a jury on March 31st, when the second round of the trial sessions will take place.A thing is clear: Apple wants Samsung to pay big and won't make any deal. Until the trial is over, the two big manufacturers will fight in court. It can stop if Apple realizes that the sum isn't the right one, so will cut a deal with Samsung. Until then let the trial begin !
