Less than a week after rolling out a sizable update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge for German users, Samsung is doing the same across Europe. All factory unlocked variants are receiving the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge September security patch.
The latest upgrade for European S7 and S7 Edge users comes with the firmware version XXU1BPHJ and offers a bit more than just the latest level of mobile security. Apart from a new and improved Gallery app, the firmware update also comes with Samsung Cloud.
The South-Korean giant takes up its security blog each month to detail out the features of its monthly security update. However, the company has distributed the Security Maintenance Release (SMR) without any changelog.
Users who have already received the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge September security update can feel free to mention the changes and improvements they may have noticed. If you own a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge in Europe, expect an OTA update heading your way.
To check for the latest available update manually simply open Settings->About phone->Software update->Check for updates. You can also keep an eye out for all the latest available Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge September update on our Samsung firmware platform. Keep us posted on all the improvements and new features you notice in the latest update.
